 Mengungkapkan makna dalam teks percakapan transaksional resmi dan percakapan  berlanjut (sustained) secara akurat, lancar, dan berterima dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari  dan mengakses ilmu pengetahuan.

II. Kompetensi Dasar

Mengungkapkan makna dalam percakapan transaksional (to get things done) dan interpersonal (bersosialisasi)  resmi dan tak resmi dalam ragam lisan secara akurat, lancar dan berterima yang melibatkan tindak tutur.

III. Indikator

-          Mengidentifikasi ungkapan Asking and giving suggestion

-          Memberikan meminta dan memberikan saran dengan menggunakan ungkapan asking and giving suggestion    

-          Merespon ungkapan asking and giving  suggestion

-          Memahami isi dialog

VI. Tujuan Pembelajaran

-          Siswa dapat menyebutkan  ungkapan Suggestion 

-          Siswa dapat meminta saran dengan menggunakan ungkapan  asking suggestion

-          Siswa dapat memberikan saran dengan menggunakan ungkapan giving suggestion

-          Siswa dapat merespon ungkapan dari asking and giving suggestion

-          Siswa dapat memahami isi dialog

VII. Langkah-langkah Kegiatan

A.    Kegiatan Awal  (5 menit)

-           Siswa ditunjukkan  beberapa gambar tentang permasalahan yang membutuhkan suggestion 

-          Siswa menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan secara lisan berdasarkan penggunaan gambar.

-          Menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran.

B.     Kegiatan Inti  (25 menit)

Eksplorasi

-          Siswa ditanyakan tentang definisi  dan ungkapan –ungkapan yang digunakan dalam Asking and Giving Suggestion

-          Siswa diberikan penjelasan tentang Asking , Giving Suggestion ,how to  respond

Them dan cara mengungkapkannya

-          Siswa diperdengarkan dialog tentang Asking and Giving Suggestion

-          Siswa ditanyakan tentang isi dari dialog tersebut.

-          Siswa ditunjukkan text dari dialog tersebut.

-          Siswa mengidentifikasi kalimat-kalimat ungkapan  Asking and Giving Suggestion dari text.

Elaborasi

-           Siswa membentuk kelompok yang terdiri dari empat orang.

 -     Setiap anggota kelompok diberi nama A,B,C,dan D

-           Siswa diberikan topic yang berbeda

-           Siswa A menginterview B dan siswa C menginterviw siswa D begitupula sebaliknya .

-           Siswa melakukan Round robin, salah satu anggota kelompok Share informasi yang telah didapat.

-          Siswa diperdengarkan dialog tentang What Should I do kemudian  diminta untuk  mengerjakan latihan yang diberikan

Konfirmasi

-          Siswa diberikan konfirmasi terhadap hasil eksplorasi dan elaborasi melalui berbagai sumber.

-          Siswa diberikan feedback dan reinforcement baik lisan maupun non lisan atas keberhasilannya.

C.    Kegiatan Akhir ( 10 menit)

-          Tanya jawab tentang materi yang telah dipelajari.

-          Menanyakan kesulitan siswa dalam mempelajari asking and giving suggestion

-          Menyimpulkan materi yang telah dipelajari

-          Memberikan  pengayaan

Tania         :Hi, Margareth. This is Tania again. Can you spare me a couple of minutes ?

Margareth : Yeah I’m free till 1:30meeting . What’s up?

Tania        :,Is it ok for me to give a present to my Japanese business counterparts?

                  I’m planning to bring something from Indonesia.

Margareth: That’s great Idea .Giving gift is important part of Japanese business etiquette. You    

                   Should present gift with both hands .

Tania        : OK. What should I give them? What kind of gifts would be appreciated?

Margareth: You can give them something like silver cuff links, pen or pencil sets     or branded batik ties.

Tania         : Should I wrap them or just put them in the bag?

Margareth : You  should wrap the gift . but don’t use white paper as it symbolizes death.

Tania         : Ok .. forget white paper.

Margareth  : When you receive a gift ,don’t open it in front of the person who gave you it to    you or it could be embarrassing for him or her.

Tania          : I ‘ll remember that . thank you for all the information.

Margareth  : With my pleasure, bye.
